Pattern to Rail is owned and led by Marianne Schnell, a fashion designer and pattern maker with a deep understanding of garment construction, production, and quality manufacturing.
Marianne holds a three-year Diploma in Fashion Design from the Haute Couture School of Fashion and began making her own patterns from the age of 21. After gaining experience working with established designers, she launched her own fashion label, Reverse, which was stocked at YDE for 17 years and specialised in event wear.
Running her own label gave Marianne first-hand experience in every stage of the fashion production process, from pattern drafting and sampling to manufacturing, quality control, and finishing. During the COVID period, she chose to close her brand and focus fully on what she does best: pattern making and garment production.
Today, Pattern to Rail works with a small, highly skilled team of seamstresses, offering a reliable, in-house process that turns designs into store-ready garments. Marianne’s background as both a designer and manufacturer ensures a practical, detail-driven approach with a strong focus on quality, fit, and meeting deadlines.
